When SERVPRO of Milwaukie/Happy Valley responds to fire loss, there are three main components of fire damage restoration: inspection, emergency services, and cleaning.

Inspection

SERVPRO of Milwaukie/Happy Valley will inspect the damaged area to scope the extent of the damage and to evaluate how far soot has traveled through the building. All affected material, including structure and contents, will be inspected to determine if they are restorable and identity any visible damage. Items could be impacted from water (if a sprinkler was activated or the fire department assisted) or from soot. Based on the inspection, and emergency services plan will be established.

Emergency Service

Emergency services after a fire can include wiping down of certain items, extracting water, boarding up any openings, providing power generation, or anything else that helps stabilize the structure. After the structure has been stabilized, we are able to move on the cleaning process

Cleaning

The goal of the cleaning process by SERVPRO of Milwaukie/Happy Valley is to return items back to their preloss condition. This cleaning involves structure items, such as ceilings, walls, floors, fixtures, and cabinets, as well as personal belongings such as sofas, tables, toys, and rugs.
